The portrait of Rev. Felix Kurzątkowski is an oil on canvas probably made in the 1820s/30s.
The painting is believed to have been created after 1817, when Fr. Felix served as the parish priest of Tomaszów and then as a canon of the Lublin Cathedral.
The painting depicts a man in a portrait shot, slightly en trois quarts-right shoulder to the viewer-to below waist height, against a neutral brown-black background.
A man about 50 years old, with a full-figured face and body, wearing the robes of a canon, with longer chin-length slightly wavy gray hair, fair complexion and rounded facial features. He is dressed in priestly garb: a top black mucet of length past the elbow and above the waist, with a black collar with white trim, fastened in the middle with red buttons, the last two of which are undone, with red trim on the edges of the robes, and a lining of that color visible at the bend of the arm. On the man's chest hung on a gold chain a distaff - a cross decorated presumably with stones of red and black color. Below this robe are visible pants , a gray-blue communion with ruffled sleeves, visible in one of them an embroidered cuff and embroidery on the belly. In the lower left corner in front of the man is a fragment of a wooden tabletop (table) situated diagonally to the figure, on it a pen with a silver nib and an orange-colored handle and a sheet of paper rolled four edges inward.
