On the territory of the parish of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tomaszow Lubelski there are the following religious buildings: -
1. parish church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tomaszow Lubelski built in 1727. in the church there is a grace-famous image of Our Lady of the Scapular. The indulgence in honor of Our Lady of the Scapular takes place on July 15 and 16.
2. filial church of St. Joseph in Wieprzów. In the 1950s, the idea of building a chapel here was born among the faithful. On St. Joseph's Day, in 1957, Fr. Stanislaw Krynicki, pastor of Tomaszow, consecrated the cornerstone for the chapel, located on the site of previous Eastern Rite churches. Construction was completed in 1959, as indicated by the inscription on the chapel floor. It was carried out by local masons, under the direction of Daniel Skalski. The chapel was given the name of St. Joseph and annual indulgences were held here on the patron saint's feast day.
It soon became apparent that the chapel that had been built did not meet the needs of the faithful, and they embarked on a small expansion, led by Father Stefan Wojtowicz - a vicar from Tomaszow. The expansion was met with great difficulties from the authorities. Local youths carried out the work at night. The sacristy was added in 1966, and the chapel was renovated in 1968. A wooden altar with an image of Our Lady of Consolation, which came from Uhnow, was placed in the chapel. The image of Our Lady came to Tomaszow in the 1950s during the regulation of the border between the People's Republic of Poland and the USSR. In time, a second indulgence was established in the chapel for Our Lady of Consolation, which was celebrated on the first Sunday of September.
In the 1990s, the idea of building a new temple in Wieprzów was conceived. The initiative was patronized by the then pastor of the Tomaszow sanctuary, Father Hermenegild Frąkała. Although some materials for the construction were gathered at the time, it did not live to see realization.
Again the construction of the church in Wieprzów returned in 2005, after Father Eugene Derdziuk took over the parish of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On October 10, 2005, a Church Construction Council was established. The Council dealt with matters related to the acquisition of a plot of land for construction and the search for a construction project. Soon, thanks to the favor of the Tarnawatka Municipality authorities, the parish acquired a plot of land for construction with an area of 0.5 hectares. On March 14, 2008, during the Lenten retreat, a cross was placed on the construction site.
On Holy Wednesday, March 19, 2008, the dedication of the cross and the square for the construction of the church took place, where the faithful went in procession after Mass celebrated for the intention of the work undertaken. The rite of dedication was performed by the Shepherd of the Diocese, Rev. Dr. Waclaw Tomasz Depo - Bishop of Zamojsko-Lubaczow.
On October 24, 2008, construction began. The church in Wieprzów was designed and the project was donated by Tomaszow architect Czeslaw Kostykiewicz. Construction was carried out by INSTALBUD company from Lubycza Krolewska. The cornerstone - a rock from St. Joseph's House in Nazareth - was placed in the church.
The faithful - the residents of Wieprzów, actively joined the construction work by participating socially in organizational and preparatory work, as well as financing the construction. The church is being built thanks to their generosity. They also collected funds themselves, collecting in neighboring villages and parishes. The firefighters particularly excel in these collections. Since the dedication of the cross and the site for the construction of the church in Wieprzów, this place has become the heart of the life of the local community, and the work undertaken unites the community of believers.
On September 2, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., during the indulgence in honor of Our Lady of Consolation, His Excellency Bishop Marian Rojek, Bishop of Zamojsko-Lubaczow, performed the consecration of the new church.
3. filial church of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Majdan Górny. Church built by the faithful, consecrated, in 1982, by Fr. S. Rojek, chancellor of the Diocesan Curia in Lublin, according to the design of Zygmunt Nowak, in the hall style. Indulgences: of St. Jack (Sunday after August 17), of Our Lady Queen of Poland (May 3)
4. St. Jack's chapel in Majdan Górny (Lipka), brick, built in 1910 by a local foreman, renovated in 1945 and 1998, among others. In the wooden altar, which was made by a local carpenter, there is an image of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
5. The chapel in the municipal cemetery on Zamojska Street. Renovated in 2021. The cemetery chapel is cared for by the administrator of the municipal cemetery.
