Matthew holds an open book in his left hand, his right hand with open palm raised. Face shown in three-quarter, oval, surrounded by a long chin, nose long, slightly upturned, eyes downcast.
Minor angel with face turned to saint extends palm of right hand, left hand lowered. Local coloring, dark brown tones.
