Sculpture Angel "Putto", polychrome wood and gilt, Baroque, 1st quarter of 18th century
Polychrome and gilded wood sculpture made in Baroque style in the 1st quarter of the 18th century.
The sculpture depicts a nude putto standing on bent legs facing right, head turned to the left, full face with a high forehead surrounded by curls of hair, small upturned nose, narrow eyes under raised eyebrows, thick lips of half-open mouth, right hand bent at the elbow lowered backward, left hand extended, straightened slightly upward, slightly convex breast separated by three folds from the bloated abdomen, a country robe thrown over the left hip, wings spread at the shoulders. Angel polychromed in white, wings gilded.
