Baroque style oil on canvas painting from the 2nd quarter of the 18th century.

Rectangular painting, enclosed by a suspended solid arch. It depicts the Archangel Michael fighting the Devil. The angel situated in the center of the painting against a background of clouds, darkening the sky. The figure has a round boy's face, with flowing hair, a high, arched forehead, large downcast eyes, a straight nose, and a small, narrow mouth. He is dressed in dark-robed antique armor superimposed over his robes. In his right hand raised over which is slung a palius, he holds a thunderbolt with which he strikes devils, in his left hand a round shield with the inscription QUIS vt DEUS. At his shoulders he spreads golden-blue wings. Lower below him, horizontally projected figure of a devil with a bald head with two goat-like horns and a face contorted with terror. The muscular body twists in dramatic gestures. Visible in the lower left corner are the faces of other devils with huge pointed ears, battered foreheads, huddled under the towering figure of St. Michael. The color scheme is dark blue brown. The composition is very dynamic, kept in warm tones.
